On behalf of The Institute of Chartered Foresters I am writing to thank you and your staff for the fantastic job you all did in helping to make our conference as close as you can get to being perfect.

In the feedback that I have received since it ended, it has been described by our new Vice-President, an eminent Professor who has addressed and been a delegate at conferences through the world, as “up there with the best I have attended”. Praise indeed.

The Clarendon Suites are a hidden gem. Not only because the versatility and flexibility of the building lends itself to so may different uses but also because of the level of servicing of the client is second to none. You have a first-class staff, all of whom are committed to doing their best to be professional and helpful and this is something that is apparent at every level. Beneesha, Simon and Mark did their utmost to ensure that everything ran smoothly and, thanks to the teams working with them, it did. And not forgetting Ian and his catering team – what a spread! I have had so many compliments on the catering that I dread trying to follow it up at next year’s conference where ever that will be in the UK - and Nichola for her help at the outset.

Finally, Diane, I was to add my own very personal thank you. Not just to your team but foremost to you yourself for being such a rock from start to finish. I can only thank you for the support you gave me and the help both before and during the conference. I should add that your own professionalism and managerial skills were singled out by my Executive Director.

Would I recommend The Clarendon Suites? Yes, without a doubt. It deserves to be up there winning awards as Birmingham’s conference centre of choice.

I genuinely hope that I can bring another conference to Edgbaston in the not too distant future and there will be no competition as to where it will be held.

I have to say that you and your staff, made me and my committee look good with your attention to detail and the staff’s professionalism during the event.
